West Sussex Vineyard Barn Conversion

RX Architects are delighted to be progressing design work for the proposed repair and conversion of a 15th century oak framed barn within the estate of a large Sussex vineyard.  Despite being altered over time this beautifully crafted building retains much of the original 15th century fabric.  Proposals include the reinstatement of the original thatched roof, careful repair work to all the oak beams and stone walls and replacement green oak cladding.  The conversion work will bring the building back into use to form a central part in the activities of the vineyard.

RX have also been appointed by the Estate to design a new contemporary subterranean residence and staff accommodation within the vineyards.
