Woosden Oast, Kent – Submitted for planning

Woosden oast has now been submitted for planning. The project involves refurbishment works and a large extension to a late 19th century oast house in kent. The extension has been designed to reference the twin square kilns of the oast in form. Under one of the new kilns will sit a large double height dining space joined by a glazed link to the existing kitchen. The other form contains two new floors of accommodation and a new entrance canopy. The new extension is fully clad in blackened seamed zinc to reference the tones of the black stained timber on the main barn section of the existing building.
